About The 2023 Event
The Automotive Sustainability Community Gathers Again This July
For The 5th Event In This Industry-Leading Global Series
The LCA & Circularity Solutions For Carbon Neutral Vehicles 2023 will be taking place again in 2023, 5-6 July in London. As the first in-person European LCA event for the automotive industry, this event offers next-level knowledge sharing and face-to-face networking. However as a fully hybrid event, you can also choose to join virtually, so don't miss out on this one of a kind collaboration opportunity.
Part of our successful series of online and in-person automotive sustainability events, held in Detroit, Munich and now the UK, this community continues to grow!
About Our Previous Events
At its launch in July 2021, the first event LCA and Carbon Neutral Vehicles Congress was widely supported by sustainability professionals in the automotive industry, as well as materials companies and the supply chain, and formed the basis for the automotive sustainability community to connect on important LCA and decarbonisation topics and to actually address the practicalities of making LCA calculations for every part of the vehicle. With a follow up events for OEMs in January 2022, July 2022 and January 2023, the community has developed even more widely to cover global sustainability issues as well as the specific geographical regulatory landscapes.
The next event in this very unique series will explore more LCA and Circularity issues for the European automotive industry; and will give attendees an even better opportunity to benchmark against other companies and find out what best practices are being utilised for interpreting LCA in Europe and simplifying calculation methods for individual phases and different parts of the supply chain; from
• Raw materials extraction
• Materials manufacturing
• Powertrain components & battery
• Fuel cycle and energy use… to: End of life recycling and disposal
If you need to build your knowledge and connections in this space then ensure you join over 200 other companies from the OEM tier 1- 3 supply chain by attending the LCA & Circularity Solutions for Carbon Neutral Vehicles Congress on July 5-6 this year.
Designed to assist European Automotive OEM’s and the supply chain achieve their decarbonisation and sustainability targets, this event provides genuine practical value for the sustainability community. Building on the outcomes of the previous 2 events in the series, the agenda will cover circularity innovation & new business models in practice – including repurposing factories to refresh vehicles & raise the value of components; examining easy to recycle substitutes for plastics that are cost competitive & scalable; evaluating the most efficient recycling methodologies and understanding diverse perspectives on the way ahead for battery end of life strategies.
Benefit From Carbon Reduction Thought Leadership From Automotive OEMs,
Circular Economy Case Studies, LCA Standardisation Panel Discussions,
In-Depth Workshops & Curated Q&A Sessions
Day 1 will help take you through the roadmap for simplifying & standardising LCA methodologies, while Day 2 will provide practical application of circularity principles. Decarbonization perspectives for each stage of the automotive business & vehicle, including creating a due diligence checklist, plus the future of carbon neutral compensation projects will also be discussed on the comprehensive and wide reaching agenda.
Diverse Perspectives On The Way Ahead in Europe
Battery end of life strategies including second life of batteries, recycling strategies for all of the different components and understanding the implications of the new regulation on recycled content for EV batteries, will also form a key part of the conference content. Battery passporting in Europe is another key topic for examination by our panel, and how genuine transparency on product sustainability can be realised.
With different LCA methodologies for different global markets – including iS014040 in Europe, SAE methodologies for the USA and approaches in China, its important to understand what the roadmap looks like for standardization of different LCA calculation methods, as well as the decarbonisation of the supply chain and Co2 reduction strategies for the whole OEM tier 1 – 3 supply chain including components, subsystems and materials using plastic content, foam, composites and coatings. And with the most up to date information on how the European end of life directive will impact recycled plastics, this conference will also give attendees some unique insights into the relevant regulatory frameworks.
