Wulf-Peter is Ford of Europe’s Director „Sustainability, Advanced Regulations and Product Conformity” since 2014. After his PhD in the area of environmental engineering at Technical University Berlin he joined Ford 1997. He started as expert for Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental Strategy. After several positions and having a parallel engagement as Assistant Professor of RMIT Melbourne (Australia) for several years he is now responsible to broader sustainability subjects as well as compliance to and forecast of environmental and safety regulation in Europe.

Ernesto Barceló Rodríguez's professional career has a strong focus on Sustainability, Health & Safety,
Regulatory Affairs and Quality, among others. His experience includes managing the coexistence of
linear and circular economies, while transitioning to a new low emissions system.

With a degree in Industrial Engineering (Textile Chemistry) from the Polytechnic University of
Catalonia (UPC), a Master's in Industrial Quality Management (UPC-EFQM) and a PDD in Executive
Education from IESE Business School, Barceló began his career in 1995 as Head of Quality Assurance
in Nubiola (formerly Colores Hispania). Subsequently, he joined Omya in 1997, first as Director of
Quality, Environment and Safety in the Spanish division of the Swiss company, which later led him to
different global positions such as Marketing Director, Commercial Director, Head of Regulatory Affairs
and Group Vice President Sustainability. 

In this time, he was responsible for many of the ESG achievements as part of Omya's sustainability
strategy. For example, more than 150 certified production sites for quality, health and safety and the
environment. 17 certified ISO standards in a cluster approach for selected sites (including the first ISO
22000 for France with AFNOR). In addition to this, he was also the global Data Protection Officer in
accordance with EU GDPR and other related regulations. Barceló also actively participates in ESG
academic research in the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems of the Aalto School of Chemical
Engineering (Finland).

In addition, Mr. Barceló was recently appointed president of the responsible business committee of
Sernauto, the Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers.

James has been with Volvo Cars since 2001 and held multiple positions within Product Creation, Quality and Customer Satisfaction and Corporate functions, with a continuous focus on environmental and sustainability subjects. He is currently the Head of Circular Economy and holds responsibility for implementing the principles of Circular Economy company wide, from design and product creation to service and end of life. His work focuses on strategy development, as well as joint activities on targets, objectives and KPIs to drive the company’s efforts forward. James has previously worked with environmental policy development, both internally as well as externally with regulators and the broader industry. 

Rahul is the Director for Fleet Strategy & New business incubation at Hitachi’s ZeroCarbon Business in Europe,

Rahul is tasked to leverage the breadth of Hitachi capabilities combining information technology, operational know how and physical products to help customers and business partners tackle climate change and sustainability.

Rahul has over 15 years of international commercial experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and Industrial IoT environments in multiple regions including Europe, the United States and Asia.

His experience is backed with strong academics. Rahul has a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital business, specialization in Artificial Intelligence from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication engineering

Özak completed his BSc in Mechanical Engineering at Hacettepe University and has been working for Ford Otosan since 2013. He has 7 years’ experience as Senior Research and Development Engineer and 4 years as Product Sustainability Leader. He is also the co-founder and lead of company internal initiative ReCube project. He has experience in anti-vibration systems, engine mounts and brackets design, sustainable material development & applications, EV battery circular economy projects and life cycle assessment analysis. His team running 7 EU funded Projects about Circular Economy & LCA.

Hatice Kübra Güney, studied Mechanical Engineering at Bogazici University. She has been working as a Product Sustainability Engineer for 2 years at Ford Otosan. Her main responsibilities are carbon emission calculations regarding ICEV & BEV, vehicle components, EV batteries, end of life calculations with Life Cycle Assessment principles. She is currently leading EU funded horizon project called Batraw, related to battery circular economy models.

Maxim Khabur is a Director of Marketing at OneCharge, one of the US leading manufacturers of lithium industrial batteries, and a Chairman of the Advanced Energy Council, representing a group of companies - members of the MHI.org (Materials Handling Industry) Association.

Nabil Ahmed is a Product Manager at Circularise focussing on the Digital Product Passport solution and LCAs. Svetlana Yelchaninova is Director Commercial Sustainability at Alcoa. She keeps track of sustainability-related market trends and customer requirements through the entire Aluminium value chain, develops product development strategy for Alcoa’s Sustana™ line of low-carbon products, runs the program to raise awareness of Alcoa-developed break-through technologies, including Elysis™ and Astraea™, and contributes to Alcoa climate change strategy and policies.
Svetlana also represents Alcoa in various climate-related task forces at regional and global Aluminium associations.
Svetlana joined Alcoa in 2017, as a global marketing manager for aluminium value-added products, coming from ferrous industry. She holds an MBA from ESADE Business School (Spain) and Master in IT degree from Dnipro State University (Ukraine).

Lakshya joined SFA (Oxford)’s battery team in 2018, after completing his Master’s in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London.

At SFA, he is responsible for the battery metal demand forecasting, tracking mid- and downstream players and their relationships, and also tracking battery technology developments. He has completed various consulting projects focussed on alternative battery metal sourcing strategies to help clients improve the ESG credentials of their battery supply chain- from looking at alternatives to DRC sourced cobalt to forecasting the global potential of metal volumes from battery recycling.

Julian Weitz joined Makersite from New Relic Inc., where he served as a sales leader for Central Europe. Before that, he worked in sales roles in multiple startups. Julian Weitz holds a B.Sc. degree in international business administration.
